John Galliano, a famous fashion designer well-known for his outrageous catwalk shows, has put us back in the 30s. The first look to walk out is a solid green suit, which has some cutouts that are filling with bright yellow ruffles.
It seems like a look for a powerful, working woman. I think the first look gives the viewers a good intro to what the rest of the show will look like. All of the looks are very coordinated and have a similar style. Lots of layers and bright colors, and fun patterns and colors. The makeup on each of the models is very over done and exaggerated.
They have massive paper eyebrows, way overdrawn lips, and over exaggerated sparkly eyeshadow. The music paired with the show is fun, cartoonish, and represents the time period. Some of the outfits were very fitted and others were large and oversized. They are all very dressed up and their hair is either put up or put away in a hat. Galliano looks are always an overwhelming surprise; he knows how to put on a show.
